Food Assistance

The Center for Family Resources (http://www.thecfr.org/) Location: 9995 Roswell Street N.E. Suite 100, Marietta, GA 30060, Phone: 770-428-2601 --- Help with rent, mortgage or utilities – Up to $700 in rent or mortgage assistance, and up to $500 in utilities assistance is available to families once-in-a-lifetime so that they can remain in their current homes. This program helps prevent homelessness.

Food – CFR has an on-site food pantry available to families in need. This program prevents hunger.

Transportation – CFR can assist individuals with public transportation tickets so that they can maintain employment. This program prevents job loss.

In order to provide the best and most comprehensive service for our neighbors in need of assistance, we work in cooperation with a network of partner agencies and the United Way. ~Food Pantry open 6 days a week. Request $5.00 donation for a box of food. Box of Food provides: 2 meats, fresh fruits and veggies, bread and sweets, juice and milk. Trucks deliver daily with food donations.

~ They are also called Shepherd House and they plan to resume serving hot meals in March or April. They also provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals annually. They also can be hired to provide: Local moving...truck; minimum cost for a 1 bdr unit is: $180.00 first 4 hours; Local moving for a 4 bdr residence is: $350.00 first 4 hours; Charge after initial first 4 hours is then $60.00/hr. They Rent u-haul trucks: $19.95 to $39.95 per day mileage 69 cents per mile on weekdays and 99 cents per mile on weekends. To hire movers it is $20.00/hr.
