Other Areas of Parish Life

  • BLESSING OF HOMES

Our Priest and Deacons are available for the blessing of homes. Please call the parish office at 770-443-0566

  • COMMUNION CALLS

As needed the Priest, Deacons and/or Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will bring Communion to those who are homebound due to illness or age. Please call the parish office at 770-443-0566.

  • CHURCH MEMORIALS/WILLS

Many people have felt powerful support by the Church during their life. By remembering St. Vincent de Paul Church in your will, you help to continue that same ministry to others. Over 70% of all adults neglect to make out a will. Please consider remembering St. Vincent de Paul Church in your will.

  • GIFT BEARERS

At all of our weekend liturgies, people are needed to present the gifts of bread and wine. If you are approached and asked to do so, please accept this honor on behalf of your prayer community. If you have a desire to do this, simply notify a staff member or the greeter and set-up minister.

  • HOSPITAL VISITATIONS

Our priest and deacons visit sick parishioners at Cobb, Paulding, and other local facilities as needed, to pray and to administer Communion. The parish priest should be contacted to celebrate the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. To ensure that the sick are visited, we ask that a family member contact the parish office, during office hours. In the event of a Sacramental emergency, after office hours, please call 770-443-0566 and follow the prompts for the emergency contact information. Once a person has been anointed, he/she does not need to be anointed during the same hospital visit.

  • MASS CARDS

Mass intentions may be requested for the living and the deceased. Request envelopes are available on the table just outside the RE office. Please complete the questions asked on the envelope and turn it in to the RE office or place it in the offertory basket. Mass intentions are published in the bulletin, unless requested otherwise.

  • NOVENAS

For Mother's and Father's Day, All Souls Day and Christmas, a special Novena of Masses is celebrated for those loved ones whose names are submitted. Contact the parish office for further information.

  • SPIRITUAL LIBRARY

We have a library of spiritual books and videos available to those who desire to enrich their faith life. Contact the Director of Religious Education or Youth Minister for further information.

  • STATIONS OF THE CROSS

The Stations are prayed every Friday during Lent at 7:00pm. A simple supper is available each week at 6:15 p.m.
