St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church

Religious Education Information

Our goal is to assist families in understanding both what we believe as Catholics and how to live out those beliefs.

The Church proclaims the Gospel and celebrates the Sacraments to glorify God's name and to draw His flock to conversion and discipleship. We are here to assist you, the parents and primary educators of your children, in fostering your child's spiritual growth.

Individuals who are willing to share their faith and commit to passing on the teachings of Christ and His church are encouraged to volunteer.

Numerous catechists are needed for the various grade levels as well as sacrament preparation programs.

Opportunities for spiritual growth and certification will be available.

Please contact the Religious Education Office if you are interested in volunteering. No prior experience is necessary and teaching materials will be provided. Teachers receive 1/2 off of the religious education fees.

Please know that we are updating St. Vincent's Inclement Weather message on our phone system regularly.

2015 - 2016 School Year

Our second grade students prepare to receive the sacraments of First Penance and First Eucharist during their regular Religious Education classes.

We also offer a separate preparation program for older children in need of these sacraments on Sundays from 9:15am to 10:20am.

In this Archdiocese Confirmation students must be in 10th grade, or higher, to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Two years of religious education and regular attendance is required to receive sacraments.
