St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church

The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Food Drive for the Society's Food Pantry. Bags with a list of items in need will be handed out after Holy Mass today. If you can help, please purchase the items in need and return the filled bag to the church next weekend.

Holy Masses on Wednesdays during Lent will be celebrated at 12 noon.

The Stations of the Cross will be prayed in the nave on Friday, at 6:30 p.m. Due to lack of participation, the Knights of Columbus will not be hosting a Fish Fry afterwards.

A crucifer and 2 candle bearers are needed during the Stations of the Cross. If you are available to serve, a sign-up sheet is posted on the liturgical ministries bulletin board.

An altar server training class is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 18th, at 1:00 p.m. This special ministry fosters vocations to the priesthood. Those young men who have received First Communion or who are about to receive First Holy Communion are invited to join us. However, servers will not be scheduled to serve until after they have received the Sacrament.

Parishioners are invited to keep vigil with the Lord, in the Garden of Repose, immediately following Holy Mass on Holy Thursday through 3:00 p.m. on Good Friday. A sign-up sheet is posted on the information table outside Fr. Adrian's office.

Holy Week and Easter Sunday sign-up sheets are posted in the narthex. Ministry volunteers are asked to please sign up today.

Holy Masses on Easter Sunday will be celebrated at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. There will not be a 4 o'clock Holy Mass on Sunday, April 1st. Please also remember that only one Holy Mass will be celebrated on March 31st and it will be at 7:30 p.m.

Prayer Garden

Parishioners are once again invited to purchase engraved brick(s) in honor of family and friends, living and/or deceased, for our perpetual Prayer Garden.

Please complete the attached order form and return it with your check made payable to St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Donations for bricks are tax-deductible. Proceeds will help pay the mortgage on Our Lady of Guadalupe Religious Education Center.

Inclement Weather Information

Saint Vincent de Paul’s protocol for inclement weather will follow the Paulding County School System schedule for Monday through Friday. If Paulding County Schools are closed the parish office will also be closed, Holy Mass will not be celebrated at SVdP and all parish activities will be canceled.

If the weather conditions require us to make a change to the Sunday Holy Mass schedule, including the vigil Holy Masses on Saturday, a message will be recorded on our phone system and a message will be posted on our website (as long as there are no power outages).

To listen to an Inclement Weather message you would call (770) 443-0566 press 1 and then 4. If the message has not changed and a notification is not printed on our website, Holy Masses will be celebrated as usual (as long as there are no power outages).
